Hollywood legend Burt Reynolds has died.
The star of films such as Deliverance, Smokey and the Bandit and The Cannonball Run died at Jupiter Medical Center in Florida, his manager told The Hollywood Reporter.
He received an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Jack Horner in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Boogie Nights in 1997, but lost out to Robin William for his role in Good Will Hunting.
Reynolds would also be known for his performance in the original version of The Longest Yard.
He had been battling an ongoing medical condition for a number of years, before passing away on 6 September.
