Rio Ferdinand has won it all with Manchester United.
The former Red Devils’ captain notched up some serious silverware and played alongside some true United greats, so he should know a thing or two about dangerous players.
But right now, the 36-year-old says there’s only one man in that United team capable of putting the fear of God into the opposition.
And just months ago hardly anyone had heard of him. But Ferdinand claims Anthony Martial is the one mercurial talent in Louis van Gaal’s side which will make Premier League rivals Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City sh*t themselves.
He was talking about seeing the team sheets back in the day with names like Arjen Robben Didier Drogba or Damien Duff and thinking ‘oh no, this is going to be a tough game.’
But he believes there are no players in the United squad that can hurt opposition defences, bar the 19-year-old Martial. Ouch.
