We can’t wait…
LeBron James is teaming up with Black Panther director Ryan Coogler, to produce a follow-up one of our favourite childhood movies, Space Jam.
SpringHill Entertainment, Lebron’s production company, tweeted out a photo which confirms that Coogler has joined the Space Jam 2 team as a producer alongside Terence Nance who will direct it.

It’s thought that one of the main stalling points for the movie in the past was LeBron’s contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but having opted out of his contract at the end of last season, LeBron signed with the Los Angeles Lakers.
It seems this has paved the way for the movie.
Lebron has signed a production deal with Warner Bros. and Space Jam 2 is being developed with the new Laker forward.
However, there’s still a clause where he will need to approve the script before he officially signs on to star in what will be one of the biggest movies of the… well, whatever year it’s actually released.
After directing the Rocky reboot Creed, Coogler broke records with the release of Marvel’s Black Panther.
In what was the highest grossing film ever made by a black director, the movie raked in a cool $1.34 billion at the global box office.
