“I take his shoes, I go in the toilet and I shit inside of them”
Long ago, before repeatedly telling his Instagram following just how much he “loves this game”, Patrice Evra was a Manchester United footballer.
The French international was briefly a teammate of Gerard Pique, who was on the fringes of the United first team before returning to Barcelona in the summer of 2008.
Evra is known to be a bit of a practical joker, but revealed during an appearance on Sky’s A League Of Their Own, how Pique – presumably with encouragement from some of the other United players at that time – had played a prank on him by burning a pair of his trainers.
Not seeing the funny side, Evra explains how he set about taking revenge on the defender.
“They burned my trainers and it wasn’t funny,” Evra says.
“It was actually Gerard Pique, and what I have done to him, I take his shoes, I go in the toilet and I shit inside of them.”

How we’d love to hear Pique’s account of this particular story…
Evra left United in 2014 after the club finished seventh under David Moyes. He spent the next two and a half seasons in Italy with Juventus before spending a brief spell at Marseille, where he was released after kicking a fan in the head.
He was reunited with Moyes at West Ham last season but is currently without a club.
