This could make for some misplaced passes in the middle of the park
The state of Wembley’s pitch has raised concerns ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League clash against Barcelona tonight.
The stadium recently hosted a boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Alexander Povetkin, and it wasn’t just Povetkin who took a beating. The ring being placed in the middle of the ground has severely damaged the grass on the pitch.
Fans of both sides are concerned about its condition and how that will affect the path of the ball in the middle of the park. We could see some miscontrolled passes due to bobbles in the pitch tonight, regardless of the quality of the players on the pitch.

Not quite how I expected the Wembley pitch to look, tbh. pic.twitter.com/n5c2Pev9CV
