From the writer of Empire and linked to the best film in the MCU.
Every single comic book fan knows what the best film in the MCU is. It’s the Incredible Hulk. Nah, it’s Iron Man 2. Actually, maybe it’s not set in stone after all.
Ok, we’re not as funny as Korg but we are honest and we’re firmly of the belief that Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the finest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It might actually be impossible to settle on a favourite, but one thing we are certain of is the fact that Bucky Barnes is a total badass who could lay the smackdown on anyone that gets in his way.
Conflicted, cold, and absolutely ruthless, The Winter Soldier has been one of the very few Marvel villains/heroes who has managed to go toe-to-toe with some of our favourite Avengers.
We’ll always love this tiny moment.
Good news then because Variety is reporting that Falcon and the Winter Soldier are teaming up for a limited series for Disney’s new streaming service.
The writer of Empire, Malcolm Spellman, has been tapped to write a series featuring the two superheroes, which is currently in development. Unlike the show rumoured to revolve around Loki and Scarlett Witch, this is the first of the proposed Marvel limited series to actually find a writer.
Falcon and Winter Soldier, played by Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan respectively, have both appeared in multiple Marvel films to date, including the recent blockbuster, Avengers: Infinity War.
Unlike other Marvel shows like Daredevil and The Punisher, the series on the Disney streaming service will be produced by Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige, who has headed up the MCU for years.
Bring it on!
