“We’ve just done everything wrong again.”
Steven Gerrard watched his side play out a draw against the team at the bottom of the table, and he wasn’t happy. In fact, he was furious and offered a scathing assessment of his players following the final whistle.
Rangers failed to beat Dundee on Sunday afternoon, drawing the game 1-1.
Kenny Miller, the former Rangers striker who turns 39 later this month, came back to haunt his old side when he opened the scoring after nine minutes at Dens Park.

After 20 minutes, Dundee were reduced to 10-players when Nathan Ralph was sent-off. Andy Halliday then equalised from a free-kick and Rangers had over 70 minutes to find a winner. However, they couldn’t find a way past the home side.
Dundee had just eight points on the board before the game started, and were bottom of the table with a goal difference of minus 20.
Yet, Gerrard’s Rangers left with just a point and fell further behind Celtic. Brendan Rodgers’ team are two points clear of their Glasgow rivals at the top of the table with a game in hand.
Following the Dundee draw, Gerrard laid into his players. He said he was “really shocked and surprised” by the performance and attributed the poor result to a question of character.
The former Liverpool captain said he doesn’t need to analyse the game any further, his players simply made “bad decision after bad decision.”
“It was not good enough. We didn’t look like a Rangers team. Individually, we didn’t look like Rangers players,” he said.
“We kept making stupid decisions. We never really carried out the game plan. So, no surprises in terms of the result because our performance didn’t deserve better.”
