Kroll was named CEO of HQ Trivia in 2015
The co-founder of Vine and HQ Trivia, Colin Kroll, has been found dead aged 35, it has been reported.
American news site TMZ say his girlfriend called New York City police early Sunday morning to ask them to perform a welfare check after she was unable to get in touch with him.
It is reported that Kroll’s body was then found in his bedroom “with drug paraphernalia nearby”. A police source said it is believed cocaine and heroin were the drugs involved in the death.
He was named CEO of HQ Trivia in 2015, a year after he was fired from Twitter for being a “bad manager” after they bought out Vine.
He was the General Manager of the six-second video company between 2013 and 2014. Prior to that he had been Chief Technology Officer for Jetsetter. Between 2007-2009 Kroll also served as the Engineering Manager at Yahoo.
