Barcelona star Luis Suarez reveals the toughest defender he’s ever played against

Fair enough

We know Luis Suarez is an unstoppable force – but who is his immovable object?

When the relentlessly rampant and ridiculous Barcelona forward picks you as his toughest opponent, you take it as the greatest compliment you’ll probably ever get.

The former Liverpool man has revealed the player he has the hardest time against, even for a man of his speed, guile and accuracy. Remarkably, it’s not former Man United foe John O’Shea. But who?

Branislav Ivanovic might’ve gotten a reaction from him…

And you won’t be surprised to learn that Suarez didn’t pick attacking midfielder Otman Bakkal as his toughest marker…

Instead, it was bite-free, Premier League-free, Real Madrid rival Sergio Ramos

“He’s the toughest defender that I’ve come up against,” Suarez told Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

“He’s very strong, competitive and has plenty of experience. That’s one of the reasons why there is added importance on the goal I scored against Real Madrid at Camp Nou”.

Too bad he only used Man United to get more money for himself. Oh well.
