Premiering on Netflix on Friday 8 March, After Life tells the story of Tony, a down-on-his-luck type who’s reeling from the sudden death of his wife Lisa.
Cutting a fairly grim figure following the tragedy, Tony eventually decides to live long enough to punish the world by doing and saying whatever he likes from now on.
Despite treating this bold new approach as a super power in and of itself, the whole situation turns out to be tricky enough as friends intervene to try and restore order.
There’s also a line about depressed people and how they throw themselves into their work, which definitely isn’t a weird and dangerous generalisation.
