He is a man who knows how to pass
Since arriving at Chelsea from Napoli during the summer, Jorginho has consistently broken Premier League passing records.
He was a revelation during Chelsea’s sterling start to the season, before becoming something of a whipping boy as things became more difficult for the Blues in Maurizio Sarri’s debut season.
The passing that was used as a barometer of his excellence early in the season quickly became a stick to beat him with, with many supporters and critics citing his lack of end product as an example of Chelsea’s blunt approach under their Italian coach.
Against Fulham on Sunday there was absolutely no sign of bluntness in their attack however as they went in at half-time leading 2-1 at Craven Cottage.
Chelsea took the lead against the strugglers via an instinctive Gonzalo Higuain strike, before a Calum Chambers volley from a corner leveled things up.
Half an hour into the match came the greatest piece of skill though as Jorginho, waiting patiently on the edge of the home side’s box, received the ball from Eden Hazard and stroked the ball into the top corner past the goalkeeper without any fuss whatsoever.
Jorginho just literally passes everything, doesn't he? 🔥🔥🔥 https://t.co/3e1VzOOClr
