Alfredo Morelos is an interesting man
While playing football, Alfredo Morelos is extremely likely to kick you up the arse, stamp on your foot and elbow you in the head. Occasionally he’ll even do things such as scoring lots of goals.
The Rangers striker is essentially the personification of the Old Firm derby, full of violence and petulance and goals when he’s in the mood for it. But violence first, always.
This style of play has led to the Colombian becoming something of a target for opposition supporters, who view him as a bit of a pain in the arse, which he seems to be in fairness, at least in terms of how he plays.
He was a target as recently as Sunday afternoon, when Rangers travelled to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen – a side against whom Morelos had been sent off three times prior – in the Scottish Premiership.
The game ended 1-1, with Sam Cosgrove scoring a penalty in the 11th minute before Joe Worrall equalised in the second half, but the real action came off the pitch – in the stands – where the Dons fans had prepared a little welcome gift for Morelos.
That gift came in the form of a banner – coloured black with white text – which had a little message on it.

Written in Spanish, which goes to show just how much effort went into it, the banner said “Morelos tu madre es un colchon”. For those of you out there who are not Spanish speakers, that means “Morelos your mother is a mattress”.
Whether the banner affected Morelos is a mystery, but he wasn’t sent off during the game, which for him at least is a massive plus.
