He becomes the first fighter to be inducted to the Hall of Fame this year
Michael Bisping was inducted to the UFC Hall of Fame at UFC London on Saturday evening, after he retired in May 2018.
Bisping became the first British fighter to win a UFC title in 2016 when he beat Luke Rockhold, ten years after he won reality TV show The Ultimate Fighter.

Boasting a record of 30 wins in 39 fights throughout his career, Bisping has been described as ‘one of the best ever’ and the 40-year-old was rewarded with a place in the UFC’s Hall of Fame – an honour he says he had no idea was coming.

He successfully defended his middleweight title against Dan Henderson before losing it to Georges St-Pierre, whose career also came to an end earlier this year.
The BBC’s Nick Peet heaped praise on Bisping, saying: “He kicked the doors open for a generation. He’s one of the best UFC fighters ever.”
The 40-year-old, who was born in Cyrpus but fought out of Manchester, boasts a record of 30-9, having won his first 14 fights in a row – nine of which were by knockout or technical knockout.
