Tactics Tim is back in the big time
Tim Sherwood in on Queens Park Rangers’ shortlist of managers to replace Steve McClaren, who was sacked on Monday morning after 11 months in charge at Loftus Road, according to Sky Sports.
Tim Sherwood has been out of work since the summer of 2017, when he left Swindon Town after overseeing the club’s relegation to League Two as ‘Director of Football’.
His managerial achievements include: achieving a 50% win ratio at Tottenham Hotspur (second to none); leading Aston Villa to an FA Cup final; throwing a gilet to the ground and playing Kyle Walker as a number 10 at Stamford Bridge.
It should come as no surprise, therefore, that a club as well-run as QPR are considering hiring him to dig them out of trouble.
The Rs currently find themselves 17th in the Championship, just eight points above the drop zone, after picking up just two points in March.

Sherwood would be reunited with director of football Les Ferdinand and technical director Chris Ramsey, if he were to become QPR’s next manager, having worked with the pair in Spurs’ youth set-up.
