Modern football, eh?
Manchester City took on Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday evening. They could be the first side to win the ‘quadruple’ of Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League. It is quite a big deal.
Still, the club was worried there might not be enough atmosphere.
So this happened:
If Man City go out tonight, they can at least take comfort from the fact that no other club in world football makes such an unnecessary fuss over getting off a bus. pic.twitter.com/PY3xbTOixP

As each player got off the bus, they were dramatically announced with blaring walk-on music that felt more like something out of WWE than a team getting off a coach.
Having watched this in full seven times now, our favourite part is probably 2:02 and “Chilling off the bus.”
What on earth is “Chilling off the bus”?
It all reminded us of this, tbh:
That wasn’t all the atmosphere building entertainment laid on though. Fans were urged to arrive early, with former players in attendance.
And if Shaun Wright Phillips, Benjani and Andy Dibble don’t get you hype, we have no idea what will.
Looks like Manchester City are going all out to get Pep Guardiola the atmosphere he asked for tonight. pic.twitter.com/rNHqQhKBkn

It must have worked though, based on the ridiculous start both teams had to the game.
