It seems no one has told police forces in the UK that banter isn’t compulsory just because you have a Twitter account.
Not long after Merseyside police issued a wholly inappropriate reply to a rape joke on social media, Greater Manchester Police made a joke about Wayne Rooney that wasn’t exactly well-received.
Naturally, plenty of people thought those responsible for helping investigate the disappearance of people should not be making light of such things.

And attempts to recover the situation didn’t go as planned, showing that you can’t rely on the police to fight fire.
