For the first time ever, four English teams have reached European finals
BT Sport will broadcast both the Champions League final and the Europa League final for free this season via their app, YouTube and on television.
Anyone with access to a screen will be able to watch the two biggest matches of the European football calendar, which will feature four English teams for the first time ever.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool made history in the semi-finals of their respective competitions, as four teams from the same nation reached the finals of both competitions for the first time.
The Europa League final between Arsenal and Chelsea in Baku has come under severe scrutiny in recent weeks, with Arsenal’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan unable to travel to Azerbaijan, who are at war with his native Armenia. The ticket allocations have also been criticised, with each club only receiving 6,000.
The Champions League final, on June 1st, is proving less controversial, as it is being held in the much more accessible city of Madrid, Spain, though flights are set to cost fans a proverbial arm and a leg.
But for those fans who can’t make the trip out to the game, BT Sport will be showing it for free on every platform.
So if you’re out and about, on a train, at home or in the office, you’ll be able to watch the hotly anticipated clashes between four of England’s finest teams.
