The transfer has been confirmed by both clubs
Real Madrid have secured the services of Eintracht Frankfurt’s wonderkid Luka Jovic on a five-year contract, a player who has been turning heads all season long thanks to standout performances in both the Bundesliga and the club’s Europa League campaign.

Just 21 years old, Jovic scored 27 goals in total last season, including 10 in the Europa League as the German team reached the semi-finals before losing on penalties to Chelsea.
In the Bundesliga, where Frankfurt were one of the surprise packages after losing their previous manager Niko Kovac to Bayern Munich in the summer, he scored 17 goals and laid on five assists with the club finishing seventh and narrowly missing out on automatic European football. They will instead enter the Europa League during the qualifiers stage.
He joins Madrid for a reported fee of €65 million before add-ons (around £57.7m).

Frankfurt had loaned Jovic from Benfica for the past two seasons and due to a permanent signing clause in his contract were able to purchase the Serbian international for a fee believed to be around €7 million (£5.96m).
They have now sold him on to Los Blancos for almost ten times that amount, although some of that profit will go Benfica’s way due to a percentage of next transfer fee clause the Portuguese club negotiated.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s sporting director, Fredi Bobic, said of the transfer: “From a sporting point of view selling Luka Jovic is a big blow. His explosiveness and capacity to score goals propelled us into Europe and we have benefited from more than just his goals in the past two years.
“But it was clear that there was a limit to what kind of bid we could refuse. For Eintracht Frankfurt, this is a good and important transfer. We wish Luka all the best in the future. He has all the attributes to have a great career. And we are proud that we have supported him on his way.”

It is believed that in his first season at least Jovic will primarily rotate with current striker Karim Benzema, before eventually supplanting the Frenchman as Real’s first choice number nine.
He’s the second signing the club have made this transfer window as they look to reinvigorate a squad that has disappointed on all fronts following the loss of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus at the start of the season.
Commanding 21-year-old centre back Eder Militao has also joined the club for a fee of €50 million (£42.6m) from Porto and you can’t help but suspect that Zidane’s transfer business isn’t done yet.
