Wrestling needs a bad guy
Every wrestling promotion around has a wealthy villain. WWE had the likes of Ric Flair and Ted DiBiase, who would saunter in and outside of the ring flaunting their wealth to the adoring/gnarling masses in the crowd.
Though nowhere near the level of their American cousins right now, British wrestling is enjoying a Renaissance currently, and has followed the American lead in seeing a rise in posh, rich villains.
In Britain, as you’d expect, that villain turns out to be a Tory.
JOE went to meet one of these wrestling Tories, Spike Trivet, to see what it’s like to be an evil Conservative wrestler in the British wrestling scene today.
Disclaimer: it is just a character.
