José Mourinho makes sure you pronounce his name right in new All Or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur clip

“I’m not José, I’m José”

José Mourinho wants to make sure you know how to pronounce his name correctly in this new clip from the upcoming Amazon All Or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur documentary.

The clip comes from the next instalment of Amazon’s all-access sports films. The first football instalment, focusing on Manchester City, was certainly interesting in parts, but ultimately lacked drama as City romped to the Premier League title.

The new series though, going behind the scenes at Tottenham, definitely promises to be more intriguing, as it features the fallout from the departure of Mauricio Pochettino, and the arrival of José Mourinho to the North London club.

The short new clip shows Mourinho on the training field with his players. He approaches Japhet Tanganga and asks the young Englishman how to pronounce his name correctly.

Then, José being José, he makes the conversation about himself, explaining how people get his first name wrong.

“Everybody says my name wrong,” says Mourinho.

“Everybody calls me José. I’m not, I’m José,” he continues, emphasising the Portuguese pronunciation of his name.

The official description of the series from Amazon reads: “All Or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur will take sports fans behind the scenes of this illustrious football club during a pivotal season and follow all of the key events.

“The cameras will be inside their world-leading training facilities, their brand new epic 62,000-seater stadium in North London, and away from the pitch, the docuseries will focus on the unique aspects of the Club, including its extensive work and impact in helping to transform the local area. With close up access to the players and staff… this series will unpack the level of dedication and commitment needed to compete at the very highest level.”

All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur will launch exclusively on Prime Video in 2020
