Roma have been in explosive form recently
The Italian Army had to be called to AS Roma’s training ground earlier this week after explosive weapons from World War Two were found buried in the turf.
“Well, this doesn’t happen every day…” the club’s official Twitter account posted.
“A big thank you to the Italian army and their bomb squad, after they safely and successfully removed a number of devices dating back to the Second World War from the club’s training centre at Trigoria this week!”

Roma take on Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo on Sunday night in what is sure to be an emotional evening following the tragic passing of Napoli icon Diego Maradona.
Napoli played at home in the Europa League midweek, with all 11 players donning Maradona’s famous number 10 shirt, as the people of Naples lit up flares and hailed their hero outside the stadium in celebration of his life.
Roma, currently third in the Serie A title, have a three point advantage on Napoli, having won four of their last five games, making them the in-form team in Italy alongside AC Milan and Sassuolo, who are both yet to lose a league game.
