That’s the way to deal with it Jamie.
Jamie Carragher was one of a number of legends present at Old Trafford for the UNICEF Match for Children on Saturday, a game in which David Beckham rolled back the years with a glorious assist for a Paul Scholes goal.
It was only a friendly and it was for charity, but as an ex-Liverpool man playing at the ground of their fiercest rivals, Carragher was always going to get a raucous reception.
But rather than moan or take offence at the panto style jeers, the Sky pundit was superbly magnanimous about his reception, appreciating the rival revelry…
Won 3-1 in the UNICEF charity game at Old Trafford & was booed for 90 mins as I should be! pic.twitter.com/CFTgCvjlnM

Some of the booing might well have been in jest more than anything else, but Carragher knew how to deal with the naysayers and, in the spirit of the occasion, they even gave him a big cheer for his efforts…

All in good fun.
