The 12 founding clubs of the Super League have now signed a 23-year commitment to the Super League, it has been revealed

Founding club members of the Super League include: Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.

Speaking on Sky Sports this afternoon, reporter Kaveh Solhekol said there has been a widespread negative reaction to the Super League plans.

Kaveh added: “People close to some of the clubs involved are trying to put the other side of the story, trying to put a positive spin on the creation of this new Super League.”

He said that the founding clubs have signed a 23-year commitment to the new Super League.

As reported by Kaveh on Sky News, “the legal advice that these clubs have received is that they cannot be stopped from doing this.” He added that it may be a breach of EU and UK Competition rules.

Kaveh reported that the clubs involved in the Super League are convinced that money will filter down and help the wider game.
