The body of PCSO Julia James was found at the end of April

A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the murder of Police Community Support Officer, Julia James, who was found in Akholt Wood, Kent, on the 27th of April.

The individual was taken into custody by Kent Police last night at around 9:30pm. He is said to be a British national from the Canterbury area, though no motive has yet been ascertained and law enforcement are asking for people to reach out with any information they may have.

Kent’s Assistant Chief Constable, Tom Richards said: “We continue to urge anyone with information, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, to contact us.”

“If you were in the Snowdown area between 1pm and 4.30pm on Tuesday 27 April please contact us. This includes anyone local who may have seen something out of place at the time, or who came across someone who made them feel uneasy – such as feeling compelled to cross the road or change the route they were walking.”

Mrs. James was out walking her dog near her home at the time and her family have spoken of their outrage surrounding the fact that the story has not seen the same coverage as recent incidents of a similar nature.

James cousin, Ms Griffin, wrote on Facebook: “Where is the uproar about my beautiful cousin? Where is the huge outrage and pouring of despair? Where are the vigils and protests about her murder?”
