The Best Goals of Serie A – Week 37

Danny Jones

One of three teams could still be dumped into the Europa League but there were some crucial goals scored in week 37 of the 20/21 Serie A season.

The Scudetto may be signed, sealed and delivered for this year – congrats again to Antonio Conte’s Inter – but the final European slots are still yet to be decided.

While Atalanta’s combination of points and goal difference will see them progress safely into next season’s Champions League, Napoli, Milan and Juventus could all still drop out in the final game week. That being said, there were plenty of big goals scored in week 37 – here’s the best of them:

Cuadrado’s brace – which included the 87th-minute winner – against the champions saw him score an absolute belter and an extremely confident penalty: three points that were absolutely necessary if they are to have any hope of avoiding the Europa League.

While Pasalic’s fine footwork saw Atalanta get another comfortable win against Genoa, it was in the capital where the two of the best goals were scored. Džeko muscled his way through the box to set up for a simple Mkhitaryan opener but it fellow veteran Pedro that showed class is permanent with the pick of the bunch. Left-foot curler from outside the box? Yes please.

Although Juve still sit fifth and the UEL beckons for Ronaldo (what a strange sight that would be), their victory against the champions was a lifeline; Napoli should feel confident at home to Verona but could 2nd versus 4th see the Rossoneri fall at the final hurdle?
