Logan Paul responds to video of Mayweather ‘knocking him out and helping him up’

Charlie Herbert

“I’m seeing this narrative going around…”

If you thought you’d heard the end of the circus of a boxing fight that took place in Miami on Sunday night think again.

Safe to say that there has been plenty of fallout and conversation after Logan Paul lasted the full eight rounds against Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather at the Hard Rock Stadium. Some of this has revolved around some rather interesting footage of the fight that appears to show Mayweather holding Paul up after knocking him out in order to prolong the fight and keep providing so-called entertainment for those that decided to spend $50 on the pay-per-view.

Paul has now addressed the footage in question and – shock – has denied that he was knocked out, telling people to “shut the fuck up” and to “stop trying to discredit the fight.”

Don’t worry Logan, I think you and Floyd did more than enough to do that yourselves.

On his Instagram story, Paul said: “Morning after the fight, not too shabby for fighting the best.

“I’m seeing this narrative going around. There’s one part in the fight where Floyd punched me and I kind of leaned on him a little bit. It looks like I kind of went limp.

“People are trying to spin it and say that he knocked me out and caught me, kept me up to keep the fight going.

“Shut the fuck up,” he said. “Just shut the fuck up. Stop trying to discredit what happened last night.

“Make no mistake, he got a lot of good punches in. I got fucked up with a couple of shots. But no, I never got knocked out.”

He finished by saying: “He tried to take me out and he couldn’t. It was great.”

I’ll be honest Logan, I’m pretty sure you’re the only one describing the fight as “great”…
