Savills are investigating
Savills, a property investment firm has launched an investigation into racist tweets allegedly posted by an employee after England’s loss at the Euros on Sunday.
After his comments were picked up on social media, internet sleuths found the man’s LinkedIn and connected him with Savills, a leading property firm with branches up and down the country.
“..and this man is a senior manager? In a position of leadership? Yet he feels it’s OK to express himself like this? He is his showing his true thoughts… @Savills, what do you think? Want someone like this representing your brand?” writes Louise.
“Your losing your job tomorrow morning,” writes another.
Just a reminder. The reason we have so much racist abuse on social media isn’t because the social media companies ‘aren’t doing enough’, it’s because we have so much racism in our society. Social media companies could do more, of course, but that’s not the real problem. 1/3
