The stunt almost worked
A cricket fan who sneaked onto the pitch at Lord’s dressed in India whites had to be escorted away by stewards at the start of Saturday’s afternoon session in the second test of the series against England.
As India made their way back out to the field to continue bowling, one crafty fan blended into the crowd and walked on with them.
The fan, whose shirt displayed the name ‘Jarvo’ above the number 69, feigned bemusement as stewards came over to tell him to leave the field.
To their credit, the India players seemed to find the whole stunt rather amusing.
ICYMI: India almost fielded 12 men at the start of the session! A gentleman from the crowd walked out with their XI onto Lord's and tried convincing security he was there to play 😂😂

At the time of writing, England are 300-5 in their first innings, just 64 runs short of India’s total, with Joe Root and Moeen Ali at the crease.
Captain Root is steadily building a superb score, currently on 130. Now, cue a catch at slip any second now…
