What a meteoric rise Jamie Vardy has had.
We don’t need to go over it again and again, but the Leicester striker has gone from playing non league at Fleetwood Town to smashing Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy’s all-time consecutive Premier League goals record.
The ex-Halifax Town forward has now scored in a stunning 11 straight games in the top flight which has help fire The Foxes to the top of the table.
We’re going to have to take a moment to let that sink in.
No sooner had Vardy banged in number 11 than the previous incumbent of this incredible record, Van Nistelrooy, took to Twitter to congratulate the Englishman who knocked him off the top spot.
Well done vardy7! You're number one now and you deserved it. #11inarow. https://t.co/qJHjZlnFDA
