This fan made a ridiculously bold prediction about Jamie Vardy four years ago on Twitter

He doesn't even know it's banging!

Anyone can make a bold prediction on Twitter.

But nine times out of 10 they’re a load of sh*t – and unless they’re particularly hilarious – they will often be lost in the sands of time.

One fan has been getting a bit of a ribbing for questioning why the hell Leicester would spend £1m on a non-league striker back in May 2012.

But on a cold January morning nearly four years ago @SamTikaTaka made a big call – it probably didn’t get much love at the time. But now it’s banging. Big time.

He tweeted about a young non-league striker by the name of Jamie Vardy.

Pretty vague and innocuous you might think. But it’s worth remembering at the time Vardy was playing in the Conference for Fleetwood Town.

When the tweet was sent on January 11, 2o12, Vardy had just scored a double against Southport on New Year’s Day and had won Player of the Month the previous November.

But it was a good five months before he made his surprise £1m move to Leicester and nearly four years before he would fire the Foxes to the summit of the Premier League, top the scoring charts and break Ruud van Nistelrooy’s consecutive goals record.

The fan had it absolutely dead on about Vardy. This tweet about Blackpool isn’t looking so fresh now though…

But the Vardy tweet was quite a shout to make. The best bit his Twitter is going bananas and it appears that he’s not even aware…
