Like father, like son: Zidane Jr is sent off for violent conduct after head-to-head confrontation (Video)

We've seen something similar before

It must be hard to be the son of a famous footballer, constantly facing comparisons with your father.

But things must be ten times harder for young Luca Zidane, given that his old man is one of the game’s all-time greats.

Zizou won the World Cup with France, the Champions League with Real Madrid and four FIFA World Player of the Year/Ballon d’Or awards before quitting the game in 2006.

It’s perhaps his final act in football for which he’s remembered the most, however, when he headbutted Marco Materazzi in the World Cup final before France eventually lost to Italy on penalties.

It seems that his son Luca also needs to keep his temper in check after he got sent off for a similar offence at the weekend.

The 17-year-old plays in goal for Real Madrid’s youth team and saw red against local rivals Atletico Madrid after using his head in an aggressive manner during a disappointing 4-2 defeat.

Take a look at the incident around the two minute mark…
