Tyson Fury hints at who he might fight in first world heavyweight title defence (Video)

It might not be Klitschko after all

Tyson Fury is a man who likes to entertain his fans.

Whether it’s sticking a batman costume on for the laugh, singing pre-fight gangster rap karaoke or generally acting the fool.

After his heroics against Wladimir Klitschko to win the world heavyweight title, the obvious question was who is he going to fight next?

Many believe the deposed champion Klitschko will want an immediate rematch with the new champ, if the loss doesn’t put him in retirement.

But while a rematch clause was put in the fight contract, and the two men have already said they would be up for another fight, don’t bet your house on it just yet.

Fury is a man who aims to please his supporters so his first move on landing back in the UK was to put the question out to his followers on Periscope: ‘Who do you want to see me fight next?’

Obviously there were some daft responses like Ronny Pickering, Beyonce and David Haye (Fury has already said Haye won’t be getting anywhere near a ring with him after pulling out of two fights previously).

But there was one name that was the the fingertips of many Fury fans – American Deontay Wilder, who is current WBC world heavyweight champ.

Responding to fans comments in the live broadcast, Fury said: “Wilder to unify, that’s not bad. Okay I get the drift, you want to see some fights.

“It looks like Deontay Wilder is the number one choice for the new heavyweight champion of the world.”

We’d like to see those two go at it, that’s for sure.
