The most hated striker in the Premier League could be set to become the most hated striker in La Liga once more.
Atletico Madrid are considering a move to bring Diego Costa back to the Vicente Calderon by triggering his £28m release clause, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Costa joined Chelsea from Atletico for around £32m back in 2014 and impressed in his first season, as he helped Chelsea claim the Premier League title at a canter.
But things have not been so straightforward for the Spain international this year, as he has scored just four times and his relationship with Jose Mourinho appears to be strained.
A series of injuries have also hampered the 27-year-old’s performances, while he also appeared to be overweight at the start of the season.
