Ed Sheeran has Covid
Ed Sheeran has announced via Instagram that he has tested positive for Covid-19.
The Bad Habits singer confirmed in his post that it would mean cancelling some upcoming commitments, writing: “It means that I’m now unable to plough ahead with any in-person commitments for now, so I’ll be doing as many of my planned interviews/performances I can from my house.”
“Apologies to anyone I’ve let down. Be safe everyone.”

He has confirmed he is self-isolating, in line with government guidelines.
His new album, =, is set for release this Friday, with a tour of shows lined up to start in April and stretch until September, with gigs booked across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
His last tour, which took place between 2017 and 2019, broke the record previously held by Irish band U2 to become the highest grossing tour of all time.
In the period following that tour, Sheeran took some time out of the limelight and wrote a new album, which is certain to dominate the charts for weeks, if not months, after its release next week.
