Any late night liaison with Russell Brand gets tongues wagging.
But when it involvesĀ Labour leader Ed MilibandĀ it’s bound to send speculation into overdrive.
Miliband visitedĀ Brand’s London apartment last night reportedly for an interview (which we assume is for his YouTube channel The Trews, which has more than one million subscribers).
David Cameron had to have his say on the meeting between ‘Red Ed’ and even redder Russell Brand – calling the outspoken comedian and activist ‘a joke’.
Then the great and the good of Twitter (and Alastair Campbell) had to wade in with an opinion or two.
And here’s a selection of them…
Cameron on @Ed_Miliband and @rustyrockets : “Russell Brand’s a joke..I haven’t got time to hang out with Russell Brand.” Right or jealous?

Cameron’s too busy hanging around with Katie Hopkins, Jeremy Clarkson, and Rupert Murdoch to spend time with Russell Brand.

So Miliband visited Russell Brand? Probably wanted some tips on how to attract women but I bet Ed didn’t give him any. I thank you.

Hey, elitist commentators sneering about Ed Miliband being interviewed by Russell Brand! How many disillusioned young people do you reach?

After Miliband & Russell Brand I’m half expecting to see David Cameron going through Zoella’s latest haul with her. #grimthought
