Well, that’s settled
Snickers have been forced to respond following an enormous public outcry over the chocolate brand removing its “d**k vein.”
Earlier this month, Snickers was trending on just about every social media site over rumours it had removed its “d**k vein” from the top of its chocolate bars.
Twitter account @JUNIPER initially shared a screengrab from a Time Out article entitled “Snickers are officially caving and removing the world renowned d**k vein from the candybar.” They added that “woke mobs” had forced the brand to remove it.

“Society is quickly losing so much culture to cancel culture with how it is,” they added.
“It’s already beginning. I just bought a Snickers (my favorite treat might I add) and it came out completely smooth. I am disgusted. I am shocked. I need to be alone right now,” they wrote alongside an image of a Snickers bar.
But the article was branded fake by fact-checking website Snopes, with the actual headline being “Snickers are officially New York’s favorite candy.”

However, they did stipulate that the ridgeless chocolate bar may be down to manufacturing issues.
“This may have been the result of chocolate melting and then reforming, a manufacturing error, or some other cause,” they said.
Now the Mars-owned brand has been forced to address the situation.
Tweeting from their official account on April 19, they wrote: “Good news, contrary to what’s trending on Twitter… THE VEINS REMAIN!”
