If we had a pound for every time someone started a conversation about pizza at JOE, we’d have enough to retire. Comfortably.
So naturally the news that you can now study pizza at university caught our attention.
According to The Manchester Evening News, Manchester Metropolitan University has teamed up with Pizza Hut to create an apprentice programme for 1,500 students.
The university’s Director of Human Resources and Marketing, Kathyrn Austin, released a statement where she backed the idea.
‘Over the next few years, we will work hard to provide our apprentices and team members with the best training and development so that we can equip them with skills for life, not just for working in a restaurant,’ she said.
People studying pizza (aka living the dream) will get to grips with both the academic and practical aspects of the programme, with subjects such as food production and financial anaylsis.
It sure would make studying more bearable – and delicious.
