If this stays in your head all day, you won’t be complaining

The Lord of the Rings cast have reunited for a quite incredible rap to tell the world one thing: that Lord of the Rings is the number one trilly.

People will surely argue about it for years to come: what is the greatest film trilogy of all time? The original Star Wars films, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones (not including the Crystal Skull)? All worthy contenders for the crown.

However if you were still in two minds, then maybe this might sway your opinion, as some of the biggest names from Middle-Earth have reunited for a rap to celebrate the trilogy and the 20th anniversary of the Fellowship of the Ring.

The likes of Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, Hugo Weaving, Andy Serkis, Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortensen joined up with The Late Show host Stephen Colbert to tell the world why the Hobbits and rings still rule.

There’s even an Anna Kendrick cameo.

So without further ado, here it is: ‘The #1 Trilly.’

The show’s Twitter account also treated us to some fantastic behind the scenes shots of the making of this absolutely fire production.

Sunday (December 19) marks the 20th anniversary of the Fellowship of the Ring‘s release in the US.

The legacy of the film lives on to the this day – and whether it’s your favourite trilogy or not – no one can deny that it is certainly in the conversation for the greatest trilogy of all time.

This rap may just convince a few more people that it deserves the title of trilogy GOAT.
