The former Reds captain was in the BT Sport studio ahead of Arsenal’s crunch Champions League tie at Olympiacos and he revealed that he actually considers an Arsenal player to be the best in that position.
Arsene Wenger has been forced to play Aaron Ramsey out wide in recent weeks due to injuries to his wingers but Gerrard believes that the Welshman is wasted out there.

“Mentally I don’t think he’ll be happy himself playing out wide because he hasn’t got the legs. His quality is all in the middle.
“For me, when he’s in that form, he’s the best attacking midfielder in the Premier League.
“You’ve to play your best players where they want to play and I’m sure he’ll want to be in the middle.”
