Greenwood has been removed from FIFA 22’s offline modes

Mason Greenwood has been removed from the Manchester United squad in the latest update of FIFA 22.
The update – which was made available from February 1, was released on Playstation, Xbox and PC platforms and no longer features Greenwood on the game’s offline modes. He also doesn’t appear in the United squad list on the game.
Greenwood is still available to use on the FIFA Ultimate Team game mode however and can still be traded on the game mode’s transfer market.
Reports on Sunday had suggested that players spotted Greenwood’s Ultimate Team card had risen by prices of almost 300 per cent.

The decision has been made after Greater Manchester Police confirmed on Sunday, January 30 that a man in his 20s had been arrested on suspicion of rape and assault.
GMP then released a further update on Monday to confirm that detectives had been granted extra time to interview the suspect.
Their short statement read: “The suspect was arrested yesterday (Sunday January 30) afternoon and remains in custody.
“Enquiries are ongoing and the victim is being offered specialist support.
“We remind people to avoid any commentary or sharing of images that could compromise the victim’s right to lifelong anonymity, or risk prejudicing a live investigation with active proceedings.”
Manchester United issued a follow-up statement on Sunday to their initial update confirming that Greenwood “will not return to training or play matches until further notice.”
The forward’s boot sponsor Nike also released a statement on Monday in which they revealed they had suspended their contract with Greenwood following allegations that he assaulted a young woman.
They said: “We have suspended our relationship with Mason Greenwood. We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation.”
