The trio has returned
The first Jurassic World: Dominion trailer has arrived and gives us our first glimpse at returning stars Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern. Childhood memories are flooding back.
Dominion is the sixth and supposedly final film in the legendary franchise and the second sequel in the Jurassic World spin-offs. However, the return of Neill (Alan Grant), Goldblum (Ian Malcolm) and Dern (Ellie Sattler) the next entry in the series will be very much circling back into the original films that we loved so much.
It’s been over two decades since Neill and Dern (74 and 55, respectively) starred in their last Jurassic films and a full 25 years since for 69-year-old Goldblum, who dropped out of the series after the sequel, The Lost World.
As you can see in the 3-minute trailer, the original cast collide with the new blood of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard who have helmed the latest trilogy. The cast of Dominion now look to be dealing with dinosaurs beyond the confines of a park but running amok among human civilisation itself.
Without spoiling the previous two films for those who haven’t seen them, we’re excited to see how the cataclysmic circumstances of Fallen Kingdom are addressed in this next instalment, but the second we saw those familiar faces on the screen, all we can think about is seeing how the iconic trio interact after all this time.
Jurassic World: Dominion drops June 10 2022 and by the looks of this first trailer, we’re in for a summer blockbuster that could recapture some of the soul that made the original so special.
