Lafont’s impressive performance was recognised
Nantes goalkeeper Alban Lafont became only the 13th player to earn a perfect 10/10 rating from French newspaper L’Equipe after a stunning performance against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday night.
Antoine Kombouaré’s side secured a memorable win against the Ligue 1 leaders, racing into a surprising 3-0 lead before half-time thanks to goals from Randal Kolo Muani, Quentin Merlin and Ludovic Blas.
PSG pulled a goal back in the second-half through Neymar, who also saw a tame penalty saved by Lafont in the 60th minute.

Despite lining-up with all three of their superstar attackers – Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar – the Parisian’s were consistently denied by the impressive Lafont.
The 23-year-old, who was born in Burkina Faso but represents France, earned a perfect scored from L’Equipe for his spectacular performance in between the sticks.
L’Equipe’s ratings are notoriously harsh, and very few players ever receive a 10/10 rating. While the French newspaper are hesitant at giving out flawless scores, they are more than happy to slam players with below-par ratings.
Despite being unable to keep a clean sheet against Mauricio Pochettino’s side, Lafont evidently impressed L’Equipe and became only the 13th player to earn a perfect 10/10 rating.
