Voronin is Dinamo Moscow’s assistant manager
Dinamo Moscow fans sang their support for Ukrainian coach Andriy Voronin at the weekend, who was given a leave of absence for Saturday’s victory against Khimki.
Voronin, who is Dinamo’s assistant manager, was not in attendance for the 3-0 victory, with the former Ukrainian international given time off following Russia’s invasion of his homeland.
However, the away fans were keen to show their support for the 42-year-old. Supporters could be heard chanting his name, while one fan banged a drum.
The video was uploaded to social media and Voronin appeared to be tagged in the original post.

Dinamo Moscow opened the scoring through Fyodor Smolov, before Sebastian Szymański and Daniil Fomin both got on the scoresheet to secure a convincing victory and ensure they remain one point clear of second-placed Zenit Saint Petersburg, who have a game in hand.
Khimki were reduced to nine-men in the match, while Dinamo Moscow also had a man sent-off.
Former Liverpool forward Voronin recently said that ‘we will remember this day forever’ following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Voronin, who made over 70 caps for his home country during his player career, posted his message on social media.
“We will remember this day forever,” he wrote in a Instagram post.
“My country, rockets flew at my beloved city today, stop what are you doing?”

The 42-year-old left Liverpool to join Dinamo Moscow in 2010 and called time on his playing career in July 2014.
He has been the assistant manager to Sandro Schwarz at Dynamo Moscow since October 2020.
Ukraine’s interior ministry has stated that 352 Ukrainian civilians have been killed during Russia’s invasion, including 14 children.
