Chelsea reportedly lining up Juande Ramos to replace Jose Mourinho

Chelsea could make a shock move for Juande Ramos as a replacement for Jose Mourinho, potentially before their next Premier League match.

Former Spurs boss Ramos has been out of work since leaving Ukrainian side Dnipro in 2014, and The Times report that he is being lined up as a caretaker manager at Stamford Bridge until the end of the season.

The Spaniard, who has also managed Real Madrid and Sevilla, could take charge for the visit of Sunderland.

Chelsea’s board members are reported to have held crisis talks with a view to relieving Mourinho of his duties following the 2-1 defeat to Leicester City.

The Blues are 16th in the Premier League table, just one point outside the relegation zone, and could drop into the bottom three if Sunderland leave London with all three points.
