Jose Mourinho has already ruled himself out of one major job

Jose Mourinho has already been linked with countless jobs after leaving Chelsea by mutual consent, but there’s one role he won’t be taking.

The Portuguese coach will not be putting himself forward to manage England on the grounds that he “Likes to work every day.”

Speaking to BT Sport’s Clare Balding Show, recorded before his Chelsea exit, he added that “I like to play three times a week and the national team job is a job where you are on holidays most of the time.

“Big pressure, big pressure but you don’t work specially on the pitch, you don’t work every day.”

Mourinho has also been linked with the Portugal job in the past, but it seems he is poised to hold out for a big club job.

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon believes the 52-year-old will return to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, while odds on Mourinho replacing Louis van Gaal at Manchester United have also dropped dramatically.
