Now then, is something afoot at Man United?
Sky Sports report that training at the club’s Carrington training complex ahead of Monday’s game with Chelsea was taken by assistant coach Ryan Giggs, and that Louis van Gaal was conspicuous by his absence.
It is an extremely rare occurrence as Van Gaal insists on taking each and every session himself, unlike Sir Alex Ferguson who would occasionally delegate training supervision to the likes of Rene Meulensteen and Mike Phelan.
Sky Sports reporting that Ryan Giggs is taking training as Louis van Gaal hasn't turned up yet. Seems like a dead man walking to me.

It has led to speculation that Van Gaal’s future is uncertain, and that he may even either resign or be sacked before Monday night’s game.
The assumption is that Giggs will take over first-team coaching duties, in much the same way he did when David Moyes was relieved of his duties.

Giggs will allow our attackers freedom to express themselves in training today. And that will confuse them as it's been so long.
