Calculating the true value of a football player can be complex and something many managers have struggled with over the years.
Fortunately, a Swiss company claims to have come up with a method of establishing a player’s worth in financial terms and produced a list of the Premier League’s top 20 most valuable players.
Produced by CIES Football Observatory, the list considers the age, ability and marketability of a player as well as the length of their contract.
