Louis van Gaal said he “cannot imagine” Manchester United going as long without a top-flight title as Liverpool’s 26 years.
“I am part of the transition, so I cannot imagine that shall happen with Manchester United,” he is quoted as saying in the Daily Star.
Of course, United’s 1993 title triumph came after a wait of…yep, you guessed it, 26 years.
