Louis van Gaal does not want a repeat of last season’s result against Southampton this afternoon at Old Trafford.
On that occasion Ronald Koeman’s’s side ended an almost 30-year barren run at the home of the Red Devils to secure a precious 1-0 win.
Koeman’s been talking about another smash and grab this afternoon, but if he is to do so then he will have to get past a resurgent Manchester United coming off the back of a 1-0 win over Liverpool last week.
Van Gaal has some injury worries, but he does welcome back a player who fans will be glad to see in the match day squad once again in the shape of Adnan Januzaj.
The Belgian makes his first first team squad appearance since his loan move from Borussia Dortrmund was cancelled earlier this month, while the starting XI shows just one enforced change as Ashley Young drops out due to injury, and his place is taken by Cameron Borthwick-Jackson takes his place in defence.
