Films have led us to believe that crocodiles and alligators are absolutely vicious.
Case in point, the vertigo inducing ending to Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom, James Bond’s escape from the jaws of death in Live and Let Die or Crocodile Dundee, well, just hanging around Australia and having regular meetings with crocodiles.
While escalators aren’t as terrifying as dealing with these ravenous reptiles, there are some people who get very nervous when they’re ascending and descending levels – FYI, if you’re curious, this is called escalaphobia .
With this in mind, this genius advert from National Geographic is undoubtedly the stuff of nightmares for escalaphobes (is that a word?) everywhere.
